My research interests cover ethnohistory, anthropology, sociolinguistics and contact linguistics, with a special focus on Nahua language and culture. I am also actively involved in the revitalization of Nahuatl and collaborate with researchers and activists committed to revitalizing endangered languages of ethnic minorities in Poland and beyond. I situate my work within the “engaged humanities” framework, an approach inspired by the ideas and methods of Participatory Action Research (PAR), Community-Based Participatory Research and community-driven decolonizing research.
